Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
This App is published by the developer listed on its Google Play Store page (the "Developer", "we", "us"). For any privacy-related question, request or complaint, contact us at:
- Email: kundan24111991@gmail.com
2. Summary at a glance
- Your business data (customers, products, invoices) is stored locally on your device in an encrypted-at-rest SQLite database.
- If you sign in, we use Google Sign-In and store your basic Google profile (name, email, photo URL, Google user ID) to identify your account.
- Subscription / purchase records are stored in Google Cloud Firestore so we can verify your access to paid features across reinstalls.
- If you enable backup, the App writes backup files to your own Google Drive. We do not have access to those files.
- Payments are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. The App never sees or stores your card details.
- We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Remote Config to improve the App and roll out configuration changes.
- We do not sell your personal information and we do not show third-party ads.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you provide
You enter business information into the App in order to run your shop. Depending on how you use the App, this may include:
- Business profile: shop name, address, phone, email, website, business category, GSTIN / tax registration number, business registration number, logo.
- Customer records: customer name, phone number, email, billing & shipping address, city, state, postal code.
- Product / inventory records: product name, code, price, category, model number, serial number, manufacturer details, stock and discount information.
- Transaction records: invoices, line items, quantities, prices, taxes, payment status and payment method.
This information is created by you, for the operation of your own business. It is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers, except when you explicitly back it up to your own Google Drive (see Section 5).
3.2 Information collected automatically
- Authentication data (via Firebase Authentication + Google Sign-In): your Google account email, display name, profile photo URL and the Firebase user ID (UID).
- Subscription & entitlement data (stored in Cloud Firestore): UID, email, plan ID, plan name, price, currency, Google Play product ID, purchase token, start date, end date, auto-renewal status, subscription status.
- App analytics (via Firebase Analytics): events such as screen views, logins, logouts, purchases and feature usage, along with technical attributes such as device model, manufacturer, Android OS version, app version, language and country.
- Diagnostic identifiers: Firebase installation ID and Google Advertising ID (where available) — used by Firebase for analytics and abuse prevention; we do not use them for advertising.
3.3 Information from device features
The App requests the following Android permissions. Each is used only for the purpose stated:
| Permission | Why it is requested |
|---|---|
| Internet, network state | Sign in, sync subscription status, fetch Remote Config, upload backups to your Google Drive. |
| Camera | Scan product barcodes and capture receipt / logo images. |
| Microphone (Record Audio) | Optional voice search inside the App. Audio is processed on-device and is not transmitted to us. |
| Bluetooth (Scan, Connect) | Discover and connect to a Bluetooth thermal receipt printer. |
| Location (Fine / Coarse) | Required by Android only to perform Bluetooth scanning on older Android versions. The App does not track, store or share your geographic location. |
| Storage (Read / Write External Storage, Manage External Storage on older Android) | Save exported PDF invoices and Excel reports to your device, and read images you pick (e.g. logo). |
| Post Notifications | Show local notifications such as "backup completed". |
| Vibrate | Haptic feedback when a barcode is scanned. |
| Wake Lock, Foreground Service, Receive Boot Completed, Request Ignore Battery Optimizations | Run scheduled background backups reliably on the cadence you choose. |
4. How we use information
- To provide core POS functionality: creating invoices, managing customers, products and inventory, printing receipts and generating reports.
- To authenticate you and remember your session across launches (including offline use, where a cached copy of your email, user ID, display name and photo URL is kept in the App's local preferences).
- To verify your free trial and paid subscription status so the right set of features is unlocked.
- To enable optional features you turn on, such as automatic Google Drive backup.
- To understand how the App is used in aggregate and improve stability, performance and features (Firebase Analytics).
- To roll out configuration changes such as pricing, trial duration, feature flags and support contact details (Firebase Remote Config).
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and violations of our Terms (for example, the same Firebase UID cannot start a new free trial after the previous trial has expired).
- To comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.
5. Backups to your own Google Drive
The App includes an optional auto-backup feature. When you enable it, the App requests access to your Google Drive and writes a copy of your local database to your own Google Drive account, on a schedule you choose (for example, daily). These files live in your Drive — not on our servers. We do not read, share or have any independent access to them. You can revoke the App's Drive access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
6. Payments
Paid subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. The App never receives or stores your card number, UPI ID, bank details or any other payment instrument. After a successful purchase, Google Play returns a purchase token and order details which we store (locally and in Cloud Firestore) only to verify your entitlement to paid features. Refunds, cancellations and payment method changes are handled through your Google Play account.
The App offers a 45-day free trial, after which a paid subscription is required to continue using paid features. To prevent abuse, the trial is bound to your Firebase user ID, so reinstalling the App or clearing data does not reset the trial.
7. Sharing and disclosure of information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers that operate the App's infrastructure:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics, Remote Config) — operated by Google LLC.
- Google Play Billing — for processing subscription purchases.
- Google Drive API — only when you enable backup, and only to your own Drive.
- Apps you choose when you tap "Share" on an invoice or report — for example WhatsApp, email or other messaging apps installed on your device. We do not control what those apps then do with the file you share.
- Legal and safety: if required by law, court order or to protect the rights, property or safety of users, the public or the Developer.
- Business transfers: if the App or the Developer is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users before personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
8. Where data is stored
- On your device: all customer, product, invoice and inventory data, in a local SQLite database, plus cached authentication info in SharedPreferences.
- Google Cloud (Firebase project
midnightbillingflutter): authentication records, subscription entitlements, analytics events. Firebase data may be processed in Google data centres in the United States and other regions where Google operates. - Your Google Drive: any backup files you choose to upload.
9. Data retention
- Local data stays on your device until you delete it from within the App, clear app storage, or uninstall the App.
- Authentication and subscription records in Firebase are retained for as long as your account exists, plus a reasonable period to support refunds, tax / accounting obligations and fraud prevention.
- Analytics events are retained according to Firebase Analytics' default retention configured for the project.
- Google Drive backups are retained for as long as you keep them in your Drive.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR, India's DPDP Act 2023, or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
You can exercise these rights as follows:
- Access & correction: most of your business data is already visible and editable inside the App.
- Local deletion: use the App's settings to clear data, or uninstall the App.
- Account & cloud deletion: email kundan24111991@gmail.com from the address linked to your Google sign-in and request deletion of your Firebase Authentication record, your Firestore subscription / payment records and your Analytics user profile. We will action verified requests within 30 days.
- Revoke Google Drive access: remove the App from https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Analytics opt-out: contact us and we will disable Analytics collection for your account.
11. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information, including HTTPS/TLS for all network traffic, Firebase Security Rules to restrict access to subscription records to the owning user, Google Play Billing for payment processing, and the Android sandbox for on-device data. No system is perfectly secure; you are responsible for protecting your device, your Google account password and your screen lock.
12. Children
The App is a business / accounting tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. International users
By using the App you understand that your information may be processed in countries other than the one in which you live, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Google's Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the change is material, we will also notify you inside the App or by email. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
